Andrew Ware is a Professor of Computing at the University of South Wales where he is engaged in both teaching and research and leading on a number of initiatives with local companies. His main research area is Applied Artificial Intelligence. Professor Ware is involved with projects in Ghana, Singapore, Norway and Canada. Andrew is the leader of several innovative projects including the High Performance Computing (HPC) Wales project, an innovative collaboration that gives businesses and researchers access to world-class, secure and relatively easy to use HPC technology; Software Alliance Wales aimed at improving the software development capability and capacity of Wales based companies and Techno Camps aimed at increasing and stimulating the pipeline of student talent entering higher education in the field of Computing and its cognate disciplines. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
